KDFC Radio Themes

Competition winning themes for the KDFC classical radio challenge hosted in 2022. Utilizing a melodic motif provided by KDFC Radio, nine 5-25 second pieces of music were recorded by a woodwind quintet and string quartet which were played live on air for one year. Eight of the pieces featured a solo instrument melody or focus (one for each instrument of the quintet / quartet), and one was a full ensemble piece. Unfortunately, the bassoon recording was corrupt, so only a midi sample is shown here. The themes, unlike the majority of the music I write, is romantic era classical music, and not contemporary.
