Beasts of Farodmir

Composed for the world famous Telegraph Quartet, the in-residency quartet for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The piece consists of a mix of sound design elements and contemporary composition by having the strings play both in conjunction with electronic tape of nature sounds, and replicate sounds of birds with their instruments both with extended techniques and by playing real transcribed bird melodies. This piece is one of many present in the album Mythos which all musically describe mythical creatures, monsters and humans
